CHILI CON QUESO DIP
Ingredients
- 2 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 large tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 1 small can green chilies, drained and finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp oregano, crumbled
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, diced
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- Dash hot pepper sauce
Directions
- In a frypan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.
- Add onions and tomato; cook 5 minutes.
- Stir in chilies, cumin, salt and oregano.
- Reduce heat to low. Gradually add cheddar cheese and Velveeta cheese, stirring until melted and bubbly.
- Stir in ketchup and hot pepper sauce.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips. Do not freeze.
