Easy Chickpea Hummus
This easy hummus is a real crowd pleaser and is best served with pita crisps, crackers or vegetable sticks.

Easy Chickpea Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can (19 oz/540 ml) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 tbsp water, optional
- Pita crisps or crackers*
Directions
- Place all ingredients except water and pita crisps in a food processor.
- Process until smooth. If hummus is too thick, add water and process to combine.
- Serve with pita crisps or crackers.
