FRIED FISH SANDWICHES
Crispy fried fish makes for a delicious sandwich. We use the fish fillets from our Fish and Oven-Roasted Chips recipe and our homemade Tartar Sauce to put together these crunchy sandwiches.

FRIED FISH SANDWICHES
Ingredients
- 6 butter lettuce leaves
- 12 red onion slices
- 6 fried fish fillets from Fish and Oven-Roasted Chips
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 tbsp Tartar Sauce
Directions
- Place 1 lettuce leaf, 2 red onion slices and 1 fried fish fillet on each bottom half of buns. Top each fillet with 1 tbsp Tartar Sauce. Cover with top halves of buns.

TARTAR SAUCE
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp chopped gherkins or other pickles
- 1 tbsp chopped shallot
- 1 tbsp drained capers, chopped
- 2 tsp grated lemon peel
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Yield: Makes about 2/3 cup.
Directions
- Combine all ingredients until blended. May be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
