ITALIAN-SEASONED SIRLOIN STEAK

A juicy and succulent 1.5 inch thick cut of steak, seasoned with a fragrant blend of fresh basil, rosemary, oregano, parsley, garlic and a dash of salt and pepper.

Yield: Serves 6.

ITALIAN-SEASONED SIRLOIN STEAK

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tsp basil, crumbled
  • 2 tsp rosemary, crumbled
  • 2 tsp oregano, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 lb (0.75 kg) sirloin steak, 1 1/2 inches thick

Directions

  1. To prepare marinade, combine all ingredients except steak in a heavy zip-lock plastic bag. Add steak and squeeze bag to coat steak with marinade; seal bag. Let stand for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat natural gas barbecue on medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes.
  3. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Grill steak to desired doneness.
