LEMON HERB GRILLED STEAK
The lemon, rosemary and thyme marinade on this barbecued steak brightens the flavour without overshadowing the taste of the meat.

LEMON HERB GRILLED STEAK
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp dry white wine
- 1 tbsp rosemary, crumbled
- 1 1/2 tsp thyme, crumbled
- 1/4 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 1/4 lb (0.625 kg) sirloin steak, 1 inch thick
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except steak in a double plastic bag. Add steak and squeeze bag to coat steak with marinade; seal bag. Let stand 30 minutes.
- Preheat natural gas barbecue on medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes. Meanwhile, remove steak from marinade and pat dry; discard marinade.
- Grill steak over medium heat on natural gas barbecue to desired doneness.
