MUSHROOM FRIED RICE
Mushrooms add rich flavour to this Asian-style fried rice. Serve it as a side dish with Chinese-inspired fare or your favourite grilled meat.

MUSHROOM FRIED RICE
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (250 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp salted butter or canola oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- 3 green onions, diagonally sliced
Directions
- Preheat natural gas barbecue on medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes.
- In a cast iron frypan, sauté mushrooms in butter over natural barbecue until tender.
- Stir in soy sauce, rice and sugar. Heat just to serving temperature; toss with green onions.
