One Pot PASTA AND SAUCE
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 lb (0.5 kg) lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 can (5 1/2 oz/156 mL) tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 2 cups macaroni
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add ground beef, onion and garlic.
- Cook, stirring to break up beef, until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in chicken broth, tomato paste, oregano and pepper.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add pasta. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender, about 12 - 15 minutes.
- Serve with Parmesan cheese.
