Peanut Butter Dog Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (not containing xylitol)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp liquid honey
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup water
- 1 - 2 tsp chia seeds, optional
Directions
- Using an electric mixer on high, beat together peanut butter and egg for 1 minute.
- Reduce speed to low and add honey. Add flour gradually, just until completely mixed. Using a spoon, mix in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to make a soft dough.
- Transfer dough to a small container, cover tightly and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking pans with parchment paper.
- Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on prepared pan. Flatten with a fork. Sprinkle with chia seeds.
- Bake until set on top and light brown on bottom, about 12-15 minutes.
- Cool completely before storing.
Tip:
While cold, this dough can be rolled to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into shapes. Bake until set on top and light brown on bottom.
If you have a smaller dog, roll out 45 balls and flatten.
