PEANUT BUTTER JAM AND BANANA CRISP

This unique baked crisp is a play on a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

PEANUT BUTTER JAM AND BANANA CRISP

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packed golden brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup light smooth peanut butter
  • 4 medium ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. To prepare topping, combine oats, flour and brown sugar in a bowl.
  3. Cut in butter and peanut butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly; set aside.
  4. Place banana slices in a greased 8 inch square baking dish and drizzle with orange juice. Dot with jam. Sprinkle with topping.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and topping is golden. Serve warm.
