PEPPERY GLAZED BACON

Bake strips of bacon in the oven with pepper and Thai sweet chili sauce for a new take on the classic breakfast meat.

Yield: Serves 6.

PEPPERY GLAZED BACON

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) thick-sliced bacon
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place bacon on a rack in a large foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle top of bacon slices with pepper.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove pan from oven and brush top of bacon slices with chili sauce. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Continue baking until bacon is glazed and crisp, about 15 minutes. Serve immediately.
