SESAME SOY FISH FILLETS
This unique recipe involves wrapping white fish fillets, such as haddock, in cabbage and dressing them with an Asian-inspired sauce made with ginger, sesame and soy.

SESAME SOY FISH FILLETS
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup diagonally sliced green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 slices fresh ginger, 1/8 inch thick, julienned
- Cabbage leaves (napa, savoy or green)
- 1 lb (0.5 kg) haddock fillets or other firm-fleshed white fish fillets
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar until blended. Stir in green onions, garlic and ginger; set aside.
- Line a shallow greased baking dish with cabbage leaves. Place haddock fillets on top of cabbage leaves. Pour soy sauce mixture evenly over haddock fillets. Cover haddock fillets with cabbage leaves.
- Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove and discard top cabbage leaves. Serve immediately.
