SOUTH AMERICAN BURGERS WITH CILANTRO LIME MAYO
Ingredients
- 1 lb (0.5 kg) ground turkey
- 1 lb (0.5 kg) lean ground pork
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 serrano chile pepper, halved, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 8 Cheese Arepas
- Cilantro Lime Mayo*
Directions
- Preheat natural gas barbecue on medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Combine turkey, pork, cilantro, green onions, lime juice, chile pepper, garlic, salt, coriander and paprika until blended. Shape mixture into 8 patties.
- Grill patties until completely cooked.
- Serve on Cheese Arepas with Cilantro Lime Mayo.

CILANTRO LIME MAYO
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
Yield: Makes about 1/2 cup.
Directions
- Combine all ingredients until blended. Refrigerate until serving.
