Spicy Maple Wings

These baked wings are smothered in a delicious glaze of maple syrup, ginger, garlic and hot pepper sauce. Enjoy this appetizer on game day or at a cocktail party with family or friends.

Spicy Maple Wings

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup maple-flavoured pancake syrup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 3 lb (1.5 kg) chicken wing drumettes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil.
  3. Place all ingredients except chicken in a blender; puree until smooth. Pour into a large heavy plastic bag. Add chicken and squeeze bag to coat chicken with syrup mixture.
  4. Place chicken in a single layer in prepared pan. Bake, stirring occasionally, until wings are glazed and richly browned, about 1 – 1 1/4 hours. May be frozen for up to 1 month.
